Going Back To Warhammer Online 2010

Filed under: Video Games, Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning No comment

Anyone willing to go back must be so desperate for an mmorpg. Most of the individuals that we know that are returning to the game were the same individuals that spent each and every day that they played the game bitching about how much they hated.

Oh, Order is overpowered, all the DEV’s play Order, everyone Cross-realms, everyone Hacks, VB Buddy hasn’t been shut down, all the hack programs are still available online.

So why go back? Is it that addictive? Are you that upset with trying something new? Why play a game that will really never change?

You can shine up a piece of **** but it is still just that.

The population in the game is so low on all the servers now that literally everyone knows your name. It’s like ‘Cheers’, without any attractive girls, alcohol, or real fun. Or is it fun? Is it fun to play a game that has about the same population as Alien Vs. Predator’s multiplayer? Mythic has nothing to offer you, they still make the same mistakes, and will continue to make the same mistakes. You are paying to beta test a game.

So have fun in the world of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning because as far as GamerQQ is concerned, we’d rather squat on a lightning rod during a thunder storm.

Received a call from SQM Group from 250-260-3907

If you’ve received a call recently from 250-260-3907 it’s a spam customer service agency that wants to know about a recent call center experience. Most agencies like these don’t tend to hang up when you begin talking though, unless they are just filling out the survey for you – which is equally as bad.

http://www.sqmgroup.com/donotcall.html – Enter your phone number on their do not call list and voila. If they call again you can take it a step further ;)

Don’t take crap from 250-260-3907, spammers are the ultimate griefer. When this number called me, I answered professionally, there was a 5 second silence and they hung up on me.

Global Agenda Exploits – Griefing

Filed under: Global Agenda, Video Games No comment

From reading the patch notes today, we discovered a few things that players still can do for the next 18 hours or so.

Venom Bomb 2 will kill your teammates, awesome. “Dude WTF stop TKING!”
Alarm Responder bots drop loot. “Who triggered the damn bots!”

The best new part of the patch notes:

To report a player, use the chat command “/report “.

To report a player named “StupidPlayer” for harrassment you could use the following format:

/report StupidPlayer guy is harrassing me in chat

Your report will be recorded in our databases and used among other factors to evaluate players for potential disciplinary action.

Repeated mis-use of this function (by reporting users falsely) could lead to account suspension or other actions by Hi-Rez.

Getting banned from GA to me would be equivalent to getting thrown out of a hole-in-the-wall bar immediately after you’ve paid your cover. Griefing will continue because with every patch comes new and creative ways to exploit and grief. – Melx

Any beta testers out there notice that this was in beta and removed from release, it only took them 2 + months to re-implement it?

Mission Screen: When joining the Mercenary PvP queue, players have checkboxes to select the Map Types to queue for (Control, Breach, Demolition, Payload, Scramble).

Global Agenda Patch 1.1 – Don’t Worry, We’ll Still Grief…

Filed under: Global Agenda, Video Games No comment

General Notes Regarding the Public Test Server

•Patch 1.1 went live on the Public Test Server on Tuesday, Feb. 23.
•The Public Test Server should be on and available for login at most times during the day but may be subject to occassional downtime. Follow GATestSvrStatus on Twitter for latest status.
•All players that own Global Agenda should have a “Global Agenda Public Test Client” available to download through the TOOLS menu on Steam. This requires a full download of the game client. (More…).
•Players may login to the Public Test Server using their normal account credentials. If your “Live” password has changed in the last week, your old password may still be in effect on the PTS.
•The test database has been seeded with a copy of the Live environment as of Friday, Feb 19.
New Features

New items and features in this patch include:

•Friends List: A Friends and Ignore list has been added (More…)

•Mission Screen: When joining the Mercenary PvP queue, players have checkboxes to select the Map Types to queue for (Control, Breach, Demolition, Payload, Scramble).
•Mission Screen: When joining a PvE queue, players have the ability to “Only join a balanced team.” If this option is chosen, it may take longer to get a match, but you will be ensured of having one player from each class on your team.

•Upgrades: Upgrades can now be repaired using Repair Kits that can be crafted using blueprints purchased in the Prototyping Center in Dome City. (More…)
•Crafting: Additional rare and epic blueprint options have been added.
•Crafting: There are now specific uncommon blueprints, so it is no longer necessary to craft random. Existing random blueprints have been converted to match the new scheme. To accommodate this:

•All existing uncommon blueprints were removed from the game and your credits have been refunded.
•There are now separate armor and weapon blueprint vendors in the crafting area. Each vendor sells 42 blueprints that craft a specific item (rather than the random chance at a stat as prior).
•All upgrades and blueprints have been renamed to make them esier to identify. (Example: No longer do you have to wade through hundreds of Alpha Analysers to find one with a ranged damaged bonus. Now you can search on Ranged Analyser and see all of them with that particular stat).
•Crafting: Item names are now more representative of the enhancements they provide.
•Loot drops: Plates now drop at 2x the previous rate in PvE missions.
•Loot drops: Alarm bots no longer drop loot.

•Conquest: Two new Conquest Zones have been added — Tradewind has times convenient for Oceanic players, and Anvil has a start time convenient to many European players. (More…)
•Conquest: New tabs have been added to the CONQUEST MAP screen for “Combat Log” and “Alliance”. These allow you to get a fuller picture of the recent activity and current state of a given Zone.
•Conquest: Improved support for the Zone Win Condition has been added.
•Conquest: Equipment brought into an AvA match that is not destroyed by the opposing team is no longer destroyed by the system if your team loses (this would happen a % of the time previously, by design).
•Conquest: If you lose an AvA match, your dropship is now always destroyed.
•Conquest: When a strike-force leader withdraws from a hex, a chat message is now sent to notify the entire strike force.
•Conquest: Multiple maps rotated for each type and level of facility (before there was one map for each facility level). Any given hex with a given facility type will always play the same map.

•VOIP: Players with multiple speaker/microphone devices on their PC, may now choose which devices to use for in-game voice. Visit the SOUND tab on the SETTINGS menu.
•VOIP: Options have been added to disable Instance Voice, Team Voice or all Voice. Visit the SOUND tab on the SETTINGS menu.
•VOIP: A variety of changes intended to improve stability and performance have been implemented.

•Settings: An option to enable mouse smoothing has been enabled. Visit the GENERAL tab on the SETTINGS menu.
•Settings: An option has been added under Video Settings for a “borderless” window. This is most useful for fast alt-tabbing while running at your monitor’s native resolution.

•Abuse Reports: Use chat command /report to report players for suspected cheating, griefing or harrassment. Use form “/report “. (More…)

•Auction House: Several improvements to searching, filtering and sorting.

•Agency Management: Your Agency’s Message of the Day is displayed in chat when you login to the game, or when an Agency member with permissions modifies it.

•Agency Management: Level now shows on the Agency screen (for online characters only).

•Agency Directory: The Agency Directory now offers the option to filter by Conquest HQ Zone.
•PVP: No more than 4 players of the same class will be match-made into a mission on the same side.

•PVP: The game-type (Breach, Control, etc) is now visible on the loading screen for each PvP map.
•Equip Screen: Improved tooltips for level/skill/seasonal requirements.

•Human Resources: Dye Vendor #3 has gone off strike and is now back at work.

•Website: The MYSTATS section of the website has gone through several upgrades and improvements.

•Miscellaneous: Various animation cleanups and improvements.

Watch Undercover Boss

Filed under: Television Show Reviews No comment

Watch Undercover Boss, this show is absolutely great! CEO’s from major corporations pose as employees within the lower tiers of their companies to see exactly what is going on in the front lines.

The CEO of 7-11 lives in a house bigger than a university campus, wow.

A great watch, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who’s bored with reality television. The con to this show is that there is a lot of personal background added about the CEO’s and people they meet in their ‘undercover employment’ which isn’t needed.

There are 3 episodes right now, Waste Management, Hooters, and 7-Eleven. One of the funniest parts is that the Hooters CEO has an obvious hicky on the left side of his neck – awesome.

Alien Vs. Predator

Filed under: Video Games Comments Off

So far the game play in Alien Vs. Predator had been going well. The single player campaign consists of the same maps for Marine, Predator and Alien, just from different perspective starting points.

The Marine campaign felt the longest, then Predator, then Alien. Each campaign also has its own story line and video clips which make each individual campaign interesting to play. The most entertaining aspect of the game has to be the video clips, the audio diaries, followed by the multiplayer if you can get a queue.

What ever happened to being able to choose the server that you want to connect to, this whole ‘xbox’ idea of queueing on pc’s is horrible. If I wanted to wait in a line to get some sort of result I’d go to the DMV or a popular bakery and take a number. The biggest downfall of this game right now has to be the multiplayer queue system, and the fact that some multiplayer modes are only available to Unranked status’ only.

Watch Percy Jackson The Olympians & The Lightning Thief

Filed under: Movie Reviews Comments Off

Good Movie. This movie is definitely geared towards the under 16 crowd but had a few good jokes for adults as well. This movie sort of reminded me Harry Potter in a sense because it is focused around a young man that doesn’t know he has Zeus’ lightning rod. The movie was put together very well for a young audience.

2.8/5 Not the best, but better than a lot of teenage movies that have been released between Dec – Feb.

Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths (2010)

Synopsis: The world is in trouble, but not our world, our parallel world – and who’s going to defend it? Lex Luthor of course because everythings backwards – it’s similar Bizzaro World. Superman plays the role of the antagonist and protagonist. Better than Shutter Island, give it a watch if you enjoy cartoons or The Justice League.

2.6/5 Not bad for the continuation of the Justice League movie series
